Step 1: Reconnect the USB Cable Securely

Ensure your printer and computer are properly linked with a stable USB connection.

1. Remove the USB cable from both devices.
2. Pause for a few seconds before reconnecting.
3. Plug the cable back in firmly on both sides.
4. Restart the printer setup process.

Step 2: Verify USB Port is Working

Check if the USB port you’re using is functioning correctly.

1. Connect the printer to another USB port.
2. Test the current port using another USB device.

Step 3: Replace the USB Cable

A damaged or low-quality cable may interrupt the connection.

1. Try using a different USB cable.
2. Reconnect devices and restart the setup.

Step 4: Remove Extra USB Devices

Too many connected devices can sometimes cause conflicts.

1. Disconnect all unnecessary USB devices.
2. Keep only essential devices connected.
3. Try running the installation again.

Step 5: Reset the Printer Power

A power reset can fix temporary connection issues.

1. Turn off and unplug the printer.
2. Wait for about a minute.
3. Plug it back in and turn it on.

Continue setup once the printer restarts successfully.

Step 6: Update Printer Drivers

Make sure your system has the latest printer drivers installed.

1. Open Device Manager.
2. Find your printer under devices.
3. Update drivers automatically.

Step 7: Remove Old Printer Software

Previous installations may interfere with new setup.

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Uninstall existing printer software.
3. Restart your computer.
